When I first contacted Jennifer Creed about featuring her on my blog… I wasn’t sure quite what spin I would take.
One of the industries best kept secrets?
ABSOLUTELY
An up and coming phenomenon?
DUH!
A really cool gal? — hmm… YOU BETCHA! — but the reality was I simply wasn’t sure!
What I did know then was that even though I am not a Chronic Jennifer Creed blog stalker, she is one of the few photographers that I make a point to visit often on the internet to be awed… without judgment, awed!
As time has past… i have noticed that when this girl tweets a blog post these days, I’m there!
I’m there on FB when a new album comes up… and I will continue to be there.
As I drafted my own version of Jennifer Creed’s “about me,” it became very clear how I would feature her here on the University Blog.
That is right, today…I know!
Today, I know…
I know without a doubt…how I want to feature her!
I am going to feature her as: One of the VERY FEW on the list to photograph my wedding! About a year ago, the list was at roughly 11.
Currently it is at five, and Jennifer Creed is on it. She kicked another off as I drafted this post.
~~~~~
Frankly, I am surprised Jennifer hasn’t been named one of the top ten something somethings, and catapulted into photographic super-stardom, but she hasn’t, and for the life of me I cannot figure out why! Seriously, folks… check this out!
Jenny currently hails from Bowling Green, Kentucky and has been rumored to be the “epitome of class, laid back, and fabulous fun.”
While viewing her images, it doesn’t take a genius to see she possesses all these qualities and that she has talent and SKILL ! One of the few on my list of photographers that can totally rock a wide-angle lens.
On any given wedding day Jenny and her team will be grounded and calm coaching the wonderful people they have to work with in a style of photography anchored in photojournalism, but dazzled with a touch of modern flair. Her images lend themselves to a direct connection of live spirit — anyone can see that.
The Jennifer Creed team has traveled nationally, but would likely be easily bribed to shoot destination and international gigs.
Once again, here I sit… in awe of the wonderful images before me… thinking again of my upcoming gigs…
I sit inspired. Thoughtful. And hopeful…that one day Jen may consider me as a client for whom she will tell a story with images.
